Machine Setter

Forza Foods Ltd slices and packs cooked meat for ASDA. We have an annual turnover of £300m and employ 1,200 at our Normanton operation. In January 2016 we became a wholly owned subsidiary of IPL Ltd, who in turn is a wholly owned subsidiary of ASDA.

We are currently looking for a Machine Setterto assist with our Engineering function, reporting into the Engineering Manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Inspecting all equipment for damage and repair.
- Assisting the engineers in plant repairs and breakdowns.
- Carrying out simple breakdowns either alone or as part of a team.
- Ensuring all PPM tasks and work orders are carried out according to schedule.
- Assisting in deep clean plant strip downs and rebuilds.
- Completing all work within the health and safety, hygiene and other site rules and procedures.

**The successful applicant must have the following skills and competences**:

- A strong mechanical aptitude with at least six months maintenance fitting experience, preferably within the food industry.
- A basic electrical understanding.
- Strong practical and fault finding skills.
- A methodical approach to work.
- Accurate workmanship.
- Strong communication skills.
- Completion of the first year of an appropriate engineering qualification, which would be a desirable advantage.
