**What are we looking for**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Author to join the engineering team. The role will encompass researching, writing and illustrating high-quality documentation. The role is varied and you will be working to a wide range of specifications for our EC&I, design and Process teams.

**Responsibilities**
- Produce technically accurate product/process documentation
- Professionally present documentation written and illustrated to convey information clearly and concisely to users of varying technical ability and experience
- All information to be provided in line with project target completion dates and key milestones.
- Write clearly and concisely ensuring consistency in terminology to avoid ambiguity and subsequent doubt and confusion for the reader
- Communicate and work with others departments to achieve company goals.

**About You**

**Knowledge and Experience**
- 5+ Years as Technical Author in a challenging engineering environment
- Proven experience in preparation and publishing large documents using Microsoft Word, Excel & Adobe Acrobat

**Skills and Abilities**
- Strong user of MS Office Suite
- Comfortable in working effectively and efficiently in a multi-disciplined team
- Ability to work to tight timescales and manage time effectively

**Advantageous**
- Update the department’s intranet page as required
- Ability to write/translate German
