**_Helping someone in need whilst e_**_arning a little extra as the cost of living skyrockets, _**

**About You**

It is likely you will be in your 50s, 60s or 70s like many of our current care team. You may be retired, still working or have been bringing up children and managing the home. Perhaps it is time for a change and a new adventure, or you would like to use your skills and life experience to give back to the community whilst discovering more about yourself and earning some extra money.

You may or may not have previous care experience, it really does not matter. We have learnt that many of the following words describe people who excel and enjoy working as a Home Helper: Kind, Reliable, Friendly, Compassionate, Chatty and Honest. You will need a full UK Driving Licence with access to a car.

**The Role**

Our Home Helpers spend a minimum of 1 hour with each of our elderly private clients who live in their own homes in Loudwater, High Wycombe, Beaconsfield and surrounding areas. Duties differ from visit to visit. Whilst some clients require varying levels of Personal Care, many just need a little help getting their meals prepared or keeping on top of basic housework, gardening or going to the shops. One task that will be ever present is the ability to make a good cup of tea and have a friendly chat.

**Flexible Hours of Work**

Can you commit to 15hours or more per week? Perhaps you would actually like 20, 30 or 40 hours a week, whether that be mornings, afternoons, evenings or weekends. Generally, we are visiting our clients 7 days a week from 7am until 10pm

**Are You New to Home Care?**

As a brand new Home Companion, going into someone’s home to deliver care and support can seem a daunting prospect. To ensure you are fully prepared all staff undertake a thorough face to face training program followed by regular ongoing and refresher training. Your initial home visits will always be carried out with a colleague whilst you ‘find your feet’. You will also have management support on every home visit you then make. Never will you be ‘thrown in at the deep end’

.**What’s In It For You?**

Whilst the competitive pay of £ 11.30 rising to £17.00 on bank holidays, per hour of care delivered, **PLUS**:holiday pay**, **paid mileage, realistic travel time between clients and company pension contributions are all important, what most of our Home Support Assistants say they value is; being part of a supportive team, having their suggestions listened to, learning new skills and doing a job that consistently delivers personal satisfaction.

**About Right At Home**

Right at Home High Wycombe is one of only 3 Home Care providers in Buckinghamshire to be **rated by the CQC as ‘Outstanding’**. We are part of a network of 67 Right at Home branches that focus on quality rather than quantity, with staff retention being pivotal to this. Homecare.co.uk, the UK’s largest Independent homecare review website rank Right at Home as the no.1 Homecare provider in the Wycombe District, with a Client review score of 9.9 out 10. For the second successive year we have been awarded 5 Star Employer Status by WorkBuzz the independent employee engagement research company.

**Career Development**

We know that most Care Assistants love being out in the community visiting clients. We also know that others will eventually be looking to move into one of our office based roles or a supervisory / management position. Where possible, we always look to promote from within, which is supported by the relevant training and coaching to help you move up the career ladder, should you wish.
