**Material Controller**

**Purpose of the Role**
- Integrate material requirements across maintenance, purchasing and logistics_
- procedures, to enable the AirTanker fleet to meet service availability at all locations._

**Responsibilities**:

- Identify material and tooling requirements in support of planned and unplanned maintenance events at MOB and deployed locations, operating in an MRO environment on the AOG or Base Depth maintenance materials desk.
- Create stock reservations against material requirements and identify material shortages.
- Raise Purchase Requisitions or Purchase Orders on PSCs or ATrS suppliers to satisfy material shortages within
- required timescales.
- Monitor and expedite material pre-loads and shortages to ensure availability of all required material at the correct
- location for all maintenance requirements, liaising with engineering logistics as necessary.
- Produce material availability reports and briefs, as directed by the Material Operations Manager.
- Maintain close communication with engineering logistics staff to ensure all ‘out-of-hours’ material requirements are
- being managed.
- Maintain a computer based electronic incident/handover log for the department.
- Identify any ‘fly-away-packs’ requirements and communicate details to all relevant departments.
- Attend meetings in support of the Material Operations Manager, as required.
- Adhere to company Health and Safety requirements.
- Capable of taking a safety focussed approach all facets of work
- Capable of representing ATrS and maintaining open dialogue with third party agencies and committees.
- Document control management skills
- Understanding of the national workplace HSE regulations

- Civil and/or military materials management experience
