We have an exciting opportunity to join the Logistics team as a Logistics Operative. You will play a vital role in the logistical support of the Royal Air Force, helping to fulfil its operational and peacetime obligations. Within this physically demanding role, you will be responsible for the distribution, handling and stock control of materials, helping to sustain a modern Whole Force team. You will work alongside Serco and RAF colleagues to achieve the daily operational output within the storage and warehouse areas as well as in an office environment and delivering stock around the base. Main Accountabilities Issues and Receipts to unit Sections Receipts from external Contractors and unit Sections General Housekeeping Storekeeping and day-to-day management of stock Operation of Material Handling Equipment (CB forklifts) What You'll Need To Do The Role Full UK Cat C1 driving licence Colour perception test for driving on the airfield Experience in a Supply Chain or Logistics environment Must be a team player with a focus on delivering excellent customer service Basic IT skills would be an advantage Forklift licence (desirable but training will be provided) This role also requires flexibility to attend off site training when required and to pass training on or off site. Due to the nature of this role, all candidates will have to pass SC Vetting and provide a pass for a colour perception test before appointment.
