**Security Operations Manager**

**Fully Remote - South West & M4 based offices**

My client, a leading software solutions organization in the UK are actively looking for a permanent Security Operations Manager to join their growing security capability. Reporting into the Security Director this role will allow you to have ownership overscoping and building out the security operations function and team.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage the incident response, engineering and vulnerability management teams and technology, including some outsourced services.
- Ensure the Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) system is appropriately managed, tuned and evolved to match new threats, risks and vulnerabilities.
- Planning and overseeing the operation of multiple security technologies including IAM, vulnerability management, anti-malware, DLP and endpoint protection.
- Recommend and facilitate the integration and adoption of new security technologies where required.
- Lead the technical response to security incidents, vulnerabilities and threats.
- Create and oversee security operations MI and KPIs across the business, aligned with appropriate SLAs.
- Oversee horizon scanning activity to ensure internal and external information security expectations are appropriately managed.
- Provide cybersecurity recommendations to leadership based on significant threats and vulnerabilities.
- Ensure acquisitions are aligned with and integrated into central security tooling.
- Assist in the completion of vendor, supplier and third party information security assessments.
- Represent the Security function in technical IT discussions and forums.
- Where necessary, recruit and train new employees for technical security roles.
- Planning and integrating security technology into hosted and cloud platforms (AWS / Azure).

**Experience**
- Several years' experience in managing security operations across diverse technologies, including cloud, on-prem and hosted environments.
- Excellent technical understanding of Windows, Linux, AWS and other platforms and providers.
- Understanding of, and experience in developing mitigation strategies to combat the risks associated with, current and emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors used to compromise enterprise and critical infrastructure.
- Ability to create documentation that describes technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences.
