**the role**
Reporting to the Head of Procurement, this role will lead on the day to day procurement activities across our Packaging and DTC Categories, ensuring packaging for the entire business, and raw materials for our Direct to Consumer range are being sourced in line with the wider procurement strategy, and ensuring that best value is considered. This role will partner collaboratively with key stakeholders both internally and externally to deliver agile and efficient procurement, maximising value and protecting the business from risk.
**what you’ll be responsible for**
- Develop and implement Procurement Strategy for the Packaging Category at graze.
- Work closely with the Category Lead (Ingredients) on developing the DTC Procurement Strategy, ensuring this aligns with the wider Ingredients Strategy.
- Responsible for managing the end-to-end process for procurement, from evaluation to contract management and supplier management.
- Negotiate costs, lead times, MOQs etc with suppliers
- Partner with key internal stakeholders (Technical, NPD, Brand, etc) for all product requirements, working to achieve best value for the business, and deliver excellent customer service, promoting and executing the procurement strategy
- Identify product mix changes to improve the value proposition for graze, working with Internal Stakeholders to bring these to market.
- Understand the commodity markets for the categories they purchase
- Source from European and Global Markets as required for current and NPD products, providing market knowledge and insight.
- Manage the packaging budget to understand company COGs, informing the business of any changes, and negotiating contracts to keep in line with budget
**what we’re looking for in you**
- Procurement experience within FMCG, with Ingredients/Packaging experience
- Understanding of Category Management, Contract Management and Supplier Relationship Management Strategies
- Commercial Acumen, with a keen eye for detail, and understanding of how costs affect business.
- Ability to develop stakeholder relationships, across a large organisation.
- Confident and Motivated Self Starter, able to prioritise workload as required.
- Experienced with running benchmarking and tenders for a business, ensuring clear communication strategy in place
- CIPS Qualified - Beneficial
