Credit Controller - Part Time

**Role Overview**:
The purpose of the role is to oversee cash management through strict credit control and regular liaison with customers, Sales order processing & invoicing staff and the Service & Engineering departments.

**Responsibilities**:
This role holder is a main point of contact within the finance department for both internal and external enquiries in relation to customer credit limits, credit limit checking, outstanding debt and customer account master record maintenance.
- Strict credit control to maintain aged debtor days within terms
- Meeting cash collection targets and KPI’s
- Closely managing slow paying customers and minimising the possibility of bad debts
- Reviewing and producing a report on monthly debtor issues, credit balances and unallocated cash
- Producing regular customer statements and liaising closely with customers to ensure remittances are received in a timely manner
- Liaising with SOP on new and pro-forma customers and assisting with the creation of new trading accounts and prospect conversions in relation to setting credit limits and carrying out credit checking
- Meeting personal and departmental objectives to ensure the business has solid cash management control whilst working closely with internal staff and customers
- Attend training as required
- Ensuring activities meet the Companies requirements in relation to quality, health & safety, legal and general duty of care

**Profile**:

- In-depth experience of Credit Control
- Demonstrated general finance department experience
- Knowledge of general accounting practices, activities and procedures
- Strong Communication skills
- Self-motivated, structured and well organised
- Good Sage and Microsoft Office skills required

**Experience**:

- Sage X3 experience would be ideal
- Fluent English is essential

**Remuneration**:
This is a part time role currently 20 - 24 hours a week - the salary will be pro rata on a full time equivalent of £30,000 (more hours may be available later)

**Location**:
This role will be based in our Tranmere, Wirral office
