**About the store**

Specsavers in Scarborough sits in a prominent position on Westborough, a semi pedestrianised shopping high street. Scarborough is a popular shopping destination with over 250 stores in the town centre including high street brands such as Next and Marks and Spencer as well as independent and speciality stores. There’s an indoor shopping centre and Market Hall nearby, a recently redeveloped 3 floor market building.

A team of 28 dedicated and passionate colleagues call this store home. The existing Partner is really passionate about the clinical development of the team, and as the new Optometry Director you would have the scope to advise on training requirements, introduce new specialisms and build/shape the team further as required.

**Store location**

The store is located in the heart of the beautiful seaside town of Scarborough where there’s plenty for everyone. Boasting two long sandy beaches less than 10 minutes’ walk from the store, amusement arcades, restaurants and bars and a pretty fishing harbour. A visit to the Sea life centre and a hike to Scarborough castle ruins which overlooks the town are musts when visiting the coast. There are excellent transport links; a railway station 10 minutes’ walk from the store where a train will take you to York in about an hour and London in roughly 3 hours.

**Requirements of the role**

The new Retail Partner will be a proven retailer with experience in Optics, and preferably a qualified DO or CLO. The right person for this position will be confident, possess a strong worth ethic and a willingness to succeed. You’ll be passionate about your job and enjoy a fast-paced environment whilst leading and inspiring your teams to be the best that they can be. You’ll be willing to go the extra mile for customers and someone who encourages their team to do the same.
