Mechanical Supervisor required on a defence project based in Barrow ,

Immediate start available

Site management of multiple mechanical sub-contract teams
- Able to support Commissioning Teams
- Able to accurately report on progress to site management team
- Review and Maintaining Safe Systems of Work (SSW), RAMS on site
- Ensuring work is carried out in the correct procedure under all relevant standards, guidelines and specification.
- Fully conversant with importance of complying with Contract Specification clauses
- Familiar with and experience of maintaining Inspection and Test Plans
- Able to manage programme of works ensuring work is carried out in the correct sequence with the inclusion of other trades and services.
- Working with and updating of a programme of works.
- Fully conversant with Installation and testing of Process Gas Piped Systems - Compressed Air / Welding Gases
- Fully conversant with Installation and testing of Ventilation ductwork systems
- Experience / Knowledge of Local Extract Ventilation Systems
- Experience / Knowledge of Air Conditioning Systems
- Experience of working in a process driven environment, ensuring process is followed - ensuring work is carried out to a high standard of quality
- Familiar with snagging software -SnagR
- Monitoring site installation progress, zero defect culture - able to identify and rectify poor installation practices
- Familiar and fully conversant with pipework pressure testing and safe systems of work to achieve testing
- Working to Datum’s.
- Working to scaled drawings.
- Working in project management.
- Must hold current SMSTS / SSSTS card
- Current IPAF card advantageous
- Not afraid of heights

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 15 months

**Salary**: £300.00-£380.00 per day

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Barrow-In-Furness: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- process gas: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred)
