Simply Education are seeking to appoint a fantastic Teacher to work on a 1:1 basis within a tranquil, rural SEND setting near Sutton-on-Trent, Newark.
This is a fulltime position starting as soon as possible.
Your role will be to work 1:1 with the KS1 child, and promote a safe and positive learning environment to develop their education. There will be elements of both practical play / break out time, and educational time both in the classroom or at the residentialhome next door.
This school provides high standards of learning to all children within their care. All teachers and support staff work together to provide an enjoyable experience for all and are fully committed to the ethos and values of the setting. They provide a comprehensivepackage of assessment, care and education to children and young people with complex needs.
The school provides education for disadvantaged, vulnerable and traumatised young people. The schools gives the young people a secure base from which they can feel safe enough to develop strong relationships with adults and other children. You may be requiredto manage challenging behaviour, due to the nature of trauma the young person has experienced.
This is a great opportunity to work with young people and help them to develop their own self-help skills, leading to a greater level of independence and improved self-esteem.
Temp to Perm option
SEND experience is desirable however not essential.

To be a successful SEND Teacher, you will need to:

- Be an ECT (Early Careers Teacher) or FQT (Fully Qualified Teacher) with QTS
- Have a range of classroom management skills including behavioural management
- Have a creative and inclusive approach to teaching
- Experience within a SEND setting (preferred)
- Desire to be part of a team
