**Foundation Learning Administrator**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Foundation Learning Administrator to join our Foundations Team at the City of Portsmouth College (CoPC).

As a Foundation Learning Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the provision of the Maths and English courses in the Foundations Department.

The role would be suitable for an individual who has a strong background in administration or an individual who would like to increase their current administration in education experience and knowledge. The post is for 37 hours per week and 52 weeks of the year. The role is based at Highbury campus but travel may be required between campuses based in Portsmouth on occasions.

Main responsibilities of the Foundation Learning Administrator are:

- Act as contact person for general student enquiries.
- Acquire a working knowledge of the content of courses offered and entry requirements, where applicable, in order to be able to deal with telephone and written enquiries and send out information packs to prospective students / employers.
- Deal with enquiries quickly and effectively as appropriate. Addressing those that can be dealt with by the post holder and passing on queries to relevant staff within the Department and across the College as necessary.
- Provision of clerical and administrative assistance for the effective operation of the Learning Company. Including producing letters, absence reports, student data, mail shots and the distribution of marketing materials as well as support for the Sector Leads as needed.
- Provide Departmental Reception cover if required.
- To be familiar with the work of other members of the Administrative Team in order to ensure effective cover for sickness, holidays etc.
