**The Role**

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a People Operations (Maritime) Director to lead the Fleet People Operations Maritime team accountable for the resourcing and scheduling of all maritime crew for our P&O Cruises and Cunard Fleet.

Reporting directly to the VP, Fleet People Operations, SSO Planning & Chair CSSI, this role forms part of the Fleet People Operations Team, responsible for the sourcing, recruiting, scheduling, onboarding, and compliance requirements of all our crew acrossthe fleet

The role of People Operations Maritime Director is responsible for ensuring high quality and cost-effective operations, acting as visible ambassador for the brand business areas, maintaining regular contact with key stakeholders and contributing to shortand long-term organisational planning and strategy. As a member of the Leadership Team, they will provide leadership and continuous improvement across the Fleet People Operations function.

**About You**

To be a successful People Operations Maritime Director you’ll have knowledge of running people operations and experience of managing complex governance and HESS requirements.

You will have a natural ability to engage with key stakeholders whilst putting our colleagues at the heart of any solutions delivered. Ability to understand complex operational function and create clarity through effective planning. Succinct and clear communicationskills are essential.

In terms of a previous positions that will have prepared for you this role, it’s likely you’ll have a good grounding in operations in a complex organisation, it would be ideal if this had been in a multicultural environment and have experienced in uniondiscussions

You’ll understand how to bring teams on the journey and have finely tuned stakeholder engagement abilities, budget management experience and have the ability to be able to create and present strong business cases.
