Head of Integrated Commissioning for Mental Health and Children & Young People

We are currently assisting a London Local Authority recruit for interim Head of Integrated Commissioning for Mental Health and Children & Young People to build and establish, in response to NHS long term priorities, local partnerships and a place-based systemtransformation of their model of mental health care and support.

**Responsibilities of the post holder**:

- Bridging the gap across primary and secondary care
- No wrong door into services and frictionless movement between them
- Oversight of service transformation under the national Community Mental Health Service (CMHS) Transformation agenda
- Supporting the continuing development of Local Care Networks, working closely with the Clinical and Care Lead for Mental Health and Senior Leads within Primary Care Networks
- Forefront of the development of the Integrated Care System in Bexley and will have a key role in shaping new ways of working with major mental health care providers
- To take the lead responsibility within the Local Care Partnership for the commissioning cycle for people with mental health and well-being needs

**Experience Required of the post holder**:

- Educated to Masters level or equivalent experience with additional in depth professional knowledge of mental health services in health and local authorities
- Experience and understanding of performance and change management, business planning, budget setting and contracting processes, in a health and local authority setting
- Experience of managing the delivery and improvement of services within a complex and diverse organisation
- A sound understanding of government policy in relation to mental health services and its implications for commissioning
