Health and Safety and Environmental Officer
Pertemps have an exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety and Environmental Officer to join a manufacturing company based in Churchfields Industrial Estate, Salisbury. This is a full time, permanent position
Responsibilities as a Health and Safety and Environmental Officer:

- Ensuring legal compliances are met with Health and Safety and Environmental legislation and law
- Making sure risk assessments are completed and reviewed along with a detailed control plan to ensure the correct use of PPE and preventative procedures
- Identify H&S and Environmental training requirements and managing a detailed training with training review dates
- Ensure accident report are completed correctly. As well as RIDDOR, monitor accidents and review changes to identify training and procedural review
- Putting together an audit program for the Environmental Management System to ensure audits are completely in the correct time scale
- Ensuring a detailed H&S and Environmental report detailing accidents, incidents and other significant changes are reviewed at the Board level on the 5th working day of the month.
- Liaising with external consultants/ sources to ensure the company is consistently kept updated of any changes to requirements or legislation
- Identify and recommend environmentally friend initiative such as cost and benefit analysis
- Carry out major incident simulation twice a year and review procedures to ensure they are kept to a high standard

Requirements for a Health and Safety and Environmental Officer:

- Previous experience in a similar role
- Must have an IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable
- Strong communication skills
- Organised with a high level of attention to detail

Our client is offering a salary of £27,500 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience. Working hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am - 16:00pm. This is a permanent position and is a full time role.
