Platform Resourcing are working with an engineering firm based in Caerphilly, they are looking for a permanent **Stores and Parts Advisor** to join their expanding team. The office and Workshop are full of friendly and knowledgeable staff who are there to support and advise team members. The turnover in the company is very low and staff members tend tostay for most of their careers. There is long term progression available within the business and they are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

Hours are weekdays, no unsociable hours, but you must be able to work 1 Saturday morning in 4 (8.30am to 12 midday).

**Benefits**:

- Hours Monday to Friday are on a 2 week rotating shift (Week 1: 7.00am to 3.30pm and Week 2: 8.30am to 5pm) You will also work one Saturday morning in 4 (8.30am to 12 midday)
- Salary of £24,000 plus quarterly bonus (works out to up to £2,000 per year, based on performance and profit)
- Holidays 20 days plus 8 stats

**Stores and Parts Advisor Responsibilities**:

- Receiving goods in, logging all stock accurately onto the system
- Reporting any missing items or damaged stock
- Arranging dispatch of parts through Courier Services
- Building strong relationships with suppliers and customers providing advice when needed
- Ensuring parts are stored in their correct allocated areas at all times
- Liaising with customers about orders and parts in stock and suitable delivery dates for them
- Checking stock availability for internal teams and engineering department
- Taking parts orders from internal staff members
- Able to adhere to health and safety guidelines
- Stores area to be kept tidy at all times
- Completing yearly stock checks

**Essential Skills and Experience**:

- Experience within a similar role, either within stores and dispatch, arranging transport or parts
- Preferably experience within a similar role within a logistics/ engineering or manufacturing company
- Experience of processing goods in is essential
- Confident computer user even if very basic knowledge
- Confident liaising with suppliers and customers over the telephone
- Happy to work half office environment and half in the warehouse
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Good understanding of H&S Guidelines
