We are currently seeking a Development Clerk of Works to join our team. The post-holder will be part of a supportive and motivated Development team with expectations to support the team in delivering high quality investment, refurbishment, and developmentschemes with specific focus on time, cost, quality and safety. The Clerk of Works will form part of a pool of Clerks/Surveyors within the team to meet the needs of the team, dependent upon demand. This role will report to the Senior Development Manager.

**This is an important role in which you will**:

- Undertake and ensure effective, value for money inspection, surveying service and reporting
- Have an excellent working knowledge and experience of construction methods, construction processes, construction contracts, building regulations, technical knowledge of complicated refurbishment projects, and the relevant legislative health and safety requirements/standards.
- Work with consultants and contractors to ensure homes are completed to a high standard with mínimal defects.
- Assist with notice/handover processes and post-handover aftercare services to ensure high customer satisfaction and high property standards are maintained.
- Ensure compliance and risk management across our development schemes, including Value for Money principles and Health and Safety policy and procedures are followed.

**To be successful in this role you will**:

- Demonstrate a high level of technical knowledge of the construction industry and ongoing professional development.
- Have a wide range of experience on new build development schemes in any sector.
- Have an ability to provide written and oral reports on new build sites for the development team.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
