**Recra** is recruiting for a
** Quality Assurance Technician **within a leading snack food manufacturer in the heart of Leicester, it’s a great opportunity to join a fast-growing business and to work within a great site that has been heavily invested in over the past 3 years.

**Key Main Responsibilities of the Role**:

- To work as a member of the shift team to achieve departmental objectives and performance targets.
- Provide assistance to the team by carrying out activities that maintain compliance and assisting with corrective action.
- To follow SOPs, manuals, core procedures, and other defined standards.
- To have a flexible approach to work to meet the changing demands of the business.
- To adhere to and undertake all the tasks and accountabilities related to your work area and level of role.
- To be actively involved in setting standards and policing and advising where necessary.

**Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities**:

- Integrate with the shift ensuring employees understand and adhere to best practices.
- Conduct your shift handover at the start and end of each shift in line with the handover standards.
- Competently liaise with customers and auditors.
- Conduct various analyses against defined parameters and report out-of-specification promptly.
- Maintaining traceability at all times.
- Policing the line paperwork to ensure adherence and completion in real-time.
- Positively releasing the line back to production using defined swabbing schemes.
- Auditing against the defined schedule (glass/hard plastic, bait box, GMP).
- Knowledge and adherence to customer-specific QAS.
- Communicate any issues promptly to the Shift Management.
- Liaise with customers regarding quality control visits.
- Take positive corrective action if the product is not meeting specifications, including root cause analysis to prevent re-occurrence.
- Report any repeat issues that should not be there to Shift Management.
- Ensure that you know your Food Safety and Health and Safety responsibilities.
- Ensure all PPE is worn correctly at all times.
- Ensure all equipment is cleaned in line with relevant CIC/SOP and QA Lab is kept clean at all times.

**Hours**:

- Multiple shifts are available.
- Mon-Fri 10-6 am.
- Mon - Fri Nights 10-6.
- 4 on 4 off continental.
