An exciting position has become available for a Shop Assistant to join our friendly team in the Thistles Centre, Stirling. The successful applicant will earn national minimum wage, rising to £9.50/hour (based on 35hrs weekly) upon successful completion of a one-month probationary period, and 25 days holiday per year, pro rata. Must be able to work weekdays and weekends within the Thistles Centre opening hours.

This position is funded by Stirling Council's Long Term Unemployed Job Creating Scheme and applicants must have been unemployed for over 12 months, be over 25 years of age and have additional barriers to employment.

We particularly encourage applicants with an interest in crafting, interior design, and fashion to pursue this role. Coorie Creative produces kits to make interior têxtiles and fashion accessories, and so this will be an exciting place of work for those with an interest in these fields. Any experience with a yarn-based craft, such as knitting, crocheting, or weaving would be beneficial, but full training will be provided.

- Retail or customer service experience beneficial
**Role Responsibilities**
- Assisting customers in finding the products they’re looking for
- Receiving, unpacking, and arranging new shipments from suppliers and vendors
- Arranging and labelling goods in the display shelves
- Processing customer payments at the checkout point/till
- Addressing customer enquiries
- Providing shopping advice and recommendations to customers
- Cleaning and rearranging the store
- Collaborating with other team members to keep the sales floor area clean and organised at all times
- Adhere to all Coorie Creative Policies & Procedures
- Work within all Health & Safety guidelines
- Respect confidentiality and carry out all responsibilities in a professional manner
Complete any other duties when requested

**Salary**: £6.56-£9.50 per hour
