The Engineering team protects, maintains and repairs? Gatwick's infrastructure, from the electricity that powers this place to the giant plant rooms that heat and cool the airport, and there's some pretty specialist equipment on the airfield too

**What is the role?**

In this role, you will be responsible for the stock management and purchase of Engineering and Fleet spares for Gatwick Airport. You'll do this with a focus on delivering a safe, efficient, and resilient service. As a key part of the team, you'll make surethat our assets are ready to support our customers across Gatwick Airport.

**What will you do?**
- Manage the day-to-day operation and welfare of the Engineering Stores team.
- Responsible for SAP data accuracy ensuring MRP demand is accurate and meets demand.
- Manage requisitions and process Engineering Stores POs to ensure stock/parts availability.
- Collaborate with the Engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure efficiency and seek to reduce stock holding wherever possible.
- Engage with suppliers to reduce material cost and lever our commercial advantage.
- Source new stock items as required by business demand.
- Guide and successfully deliver Engineering Stores Continuous Improvement projects.
- On call duties for out of hours Stores cover

**Do you have what we're looking for?**
- Purchasing experience for stock replenishment and reactive purchases (ideally in an Engineering or Transport discipline).
- An understanding of Asset management
- Great team player.
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
- Excellent communication skills, able to connect with stakeholders across all levels.
- Full UK driving licence
- Competent with IT systems; particularly Excel and stock replenishment and part ordering systems e.g., Ultimo or SAP.
- Familiar with working in a warehouse
- Forklift Licence, Reach and Counterbalance RTIB Licence holder (desirable)
