Customer Service Advisor

Masstemps LTD are currently recruiting for a permanent customer account manager to join a well established and expanding engineering company based in Redditch.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Do everything in your power to ensure the ongoing success and growth of the company.
- Play a key role in the smooth and efficient running of the commercial office, on a day-to-day basis.
- Understand the raw materials (weights & sizes), subcontracting process that go into producing a pressing.
- Ensuring latest prices & deliveries of outside subcontractor work, products and/or raw materials are reflected in all orders acknowledged on an order/enquiry by order/enquiry basis, unless otherwise agreed by management (this includes the obtaining of quotation for raw materials/products /specialist finishing required.
- Administer customer schedules, customer orders, internal works orders and all associated paperwork, in a timely fashion.
- Input customer orders onto the computer system (currently “Winman”) as and when they are received, taking note of credit terms, stock levels and order dates, together with officially acknowledging orders to customers.
- Where required, administer Export Paperwork within the rules and regulations of Customs and Excise.
- Liaise with other departments/personnel to ensure information being communicated to customers/suppliers/internal departments etc., is correct and undertaken in a timely manner.
- Assist in the marketing of products/components for your designated area of responsibility.
- Take progress calls from customers and act on in a timely manner (internally & externally)
- Liaise with manufacturing departments to ensure that accurate information is always available, to enable effective production planning.
- Ensure all Commercial records are accurate and checked on a regular basis.
- Manage customer complaints in a professional manner and escalate to other departments as and when necessary.
- Ensure stock levels of raw materials/outside purchase products/WIP & finished goods are kept to an absolute minimum.
- Carry out filing duties, including developing/improving the current filing system, if required.
- Develop trust and a sense of goodwill with all customers and suppliers.
- Carry out reception duties in a friendly, competent fashion that imparts a sense of security to outside callers.
- Assist all other members of the commercial team in their daily duties as and when required.
- Work within all Health and Safety Regulations within the working environment (office and out on the factory floor), including the wearing of PPE.

Accurate data inputting/communicating (computer/telephone).
**HOURS OF WORK**:
Working hours are 37.5 hrs (4 days in the office - 8:00am till 5:00pm with 30 minutes paid lunch break. Fridays (3.5hrs) is currently worked from home).
**RATE OF PAY**:
£23k-£27k based on experience
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £23,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
