Marketing Executive Books

This Marketing Executive position is responsible for marketing activities to promote the Elsevier Health English-language book portfolio globally. Working as part of the English-language marketing team in Europe, Middle East and Africa and coordinating with colleagues in North America, they will manage processes that contribute to readiness for market and the discoverability of our books across channels and markets. Working closely with the Head of Marketing and the Trade Marketing Manager they will be responsible primarily for: global bookfair coordination and coordination of third party exhibition attendance; the creation of book marketing asets for key titles, coordination of materials for sales teams training, metadata including SEO, book review program management and the author marketing program.
The Marketing Executive is also responsible for fulfilling a number of administrative tasks essential to the team's activities including tracking results, processing invoices, supplier onboarding and managing and tracking of spend of the marketing budget.
Main activities and responsibilities
Product Focus
'- Contribute to the discoverability of our books by: managing the back cover copy process and create a new process working with the content team on the delivery of richer copy and key words for discoverability on proprietary platforms and external customer sites such as amazon.
- Leverage organisational skills in the area of exhibitions, coordinating assets for global bookfairs and ensuring that our books are represented at speciality conferences via third party.
- Working with Books Commercial Manager and Sales Effectiveness Manager ensure the delivery of materials to train sales teams on key books bi - annually
Key opinion leaders
'- Build and manage author marketing program; ensure that author comms reflect current marketing activities, create and disseminate marketing tools for authors to promote their work.
- Manage the book review programs; manage relationship with Doody's for NOAM market, coordinate with the content team and commercial manager to revitalise the review program for education titles.

'- Build knowledge of book product and channels to market with an eye to creating new opportunities.
- Grow and gain experience of marketing across different descipllines
- Grow knowledge of SEO and digital marketing skills
- Build understanding of customer needs across the diverse markets in EMEA & NOAM
Results driven
'- Track marketing metrics as agreed, and proactively monitor/track activities and financial budgets.
- Provide regular reports on progress for stakeholders as required.
