**General Summary**
The Black & White Publishing Group - Bonnier Books UK's latest publishing division - is looking for a talented and creative **head of marketing** to work across a wide range of upmarket fiction and non-fiction. This is a unique opportunity to join a new and fast-growing team at the very early stage of launching imprints and building the lists.
The Black & White Publishing Group comprises lifestyle non-fiction, commercial and literary fiction from our London and Edinburgh offices. It includes Dublin-based Irish imprint Eriu; music imprint Nine Eight; business and smart-thinking imprint Heligo Books; and narrative non-fiction imprint Ithaka Press.
In this role, you will oversee the planning and execution of far-reaching marketing campaigns across all imprints, with one marketing manager reporting into you, and be directly responsible for delivering campaigns for select titles. You will manage the marketing budget across the division, be accountable for and report on campaign performance. You will work closely with the rest of the team to inform our acquisition and publishing decisions, set priorities and deliver on our business goals.
**Key responsibilities**:

- Create and deliver highly effective marketing campaigns, to drive sales and revenue for all the books published under the Black & White publishing group - fiction and non-fiction.
- Manage a small marketing team of one.
- Work closely with the publishing team to inform our acquisition and publishing decisions, set priorities and deliver on targets.
- Design marketing strategies and build audiences to establish author brands.
- Work with the marketing director and divisional MD to set budgets, forecasts, and ensure business goals are met.
- Set KPIs, monitor ROI, and provide thorough analysis of marketing campaigns to inform our marketing and publishing decisions.
- Support a culture of collaboration and transparency, as well as deliver best-in-class author care, working closely with the sales and editorial teams.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Strong track record of delivering successful multi-channel, consumer and trade-focused marketing campaigns, online and offline.
- Experience working across both fiction and non-fiction.
- Strong strategic and creative thinking, as well as analytical capability, coupled with a hands-on, execution focus.
- Deep understanding of consumer behaviour and how to reach and engage audiences.
- Experience managing budgets, reporting on KPIs and measuring ROI.
- Impeccable communication skills, and a proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to drive process improvements, set best-practices, and take a pragmatic and a lean approach to getting things done.
