Purchase Ledger Assistant

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Purchase Ledger Assistant join a friendly Construction business based near Bedford, who are a forward thinking group of 3 rapidly growing companies.
This is an office based role working within a fast paced and busy office. Your role will be to support the Finance Manager in the day-to-day processing of all purchase ledger functions.
**Responsibilities**:
- Processing Purchase Invoices for Multi companies, using Sage 50 & Sage Cloud software.
- Raising Purchase Orders
- Maintaining the Aged creditors and dealing with queries
- Creating weekly & monthly payment run values for the Finance Manager
- Managing VAT reverse Scheme transactions
- Managing CIS deductions and Retentions (Training will be provided if needed)
**About you**:
- 5+ years' experience in a purchase ledger role
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to react to meet demands and deadlines
- Computer literacy, especially familiarity with spreadsheets, databases, and accounting software such as Sage 50 and Sage One
- Multi-tasking and organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlines are essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable and Self-Motivated.
