**Role Overview**

We are currently recruiting for a Security Officer to join our passionate and driven Security team based at our client’s site in Windermere Marina

You will ensure the safety and security of the employees, visitors, and client’s property on the estate, by maintaining a good corporate image and high standards of professionalism.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain a safe and secure environment
- Conduct security checks and inspections of designated areas
- Respond to alarms and emergencies promptly and appropriately
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and addressing their inquiries or concerns
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related activities. Ensures the safety of everyone on site throughout the night by adhering to all health and safety procedures and requirements.
- Ensures site safety at all times and that fire protection systems and procedures are in place.
- Performs security checks around the site.
- Deals with all requests and issues.
- Carries the night phone at all times ensuring that phones are answered promptly and requests dealt with efficiently and effectively.
- Deals with guest complaints in a friendly and efficient manner ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
- Undertakes any maintenance that may be required, reporting to the maintenance team if any outstanding/new items need to be raised.
- Performs any reception/guest welcome duties that may be required.
- Carries out Night Porter handover - highlighting anything urgent during the shift that needs to be passed on to the management team for action.
- Ensures that the Marina Offices, including the reception area, are left clean, tidy and secure.
- Demonstrates a full understanding of the Night Management requirements and emergency procedures.
- Understands and has a full working knowledge of all fire alarms and fire-fighting equipment and is competent in their use.
- Shows strong knowledge of health & safety procedures, including evacuations, and is able to advise when required.
- Ensures that the emergency boxes are always fully stocked with appropriate equipment.
- Performs any service team support duties that may be required.
- Previous experience in a similar environment
- .Exceptional customer service skills and good listening skills.
- Has the ability to be discrete and respectful.
- Is either trained, or prepared to be trained, in fire safety and be a nominated and trained Fire Warden
- Ability to respond to emergency situations calmly, making decisions quickly and effectively to resolve issues.

- Computer competency with a knowledge of Microsoft programmes, ie Word, Excel.
- Capable written, verbal and numerical skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to use own initiative.

- High level of motivation, determination and commitment.
- Able to work nights, weekend nights and holidays, as per the demands of the business.
- Has the ability to handle complaints and deal promptly with any issues, using tact, diplomacy (and with a smile).
- Is adaptable and able to respond to urgent issues in a helpful and calm manner, prioritising guest, owner and staff welfare in the first instance.
- Must have SIA DS/SC Licence.
- Must be Fully Flexible
