We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant with Wine knowledge to support our Purchasing team. In this key role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the purchasing system, coordinating departmental reporting, and ensuring data accuracy. You will also liaise with internal and external stakeholders, manage supplier relationships, and contribute to the successful operation of our procurement processes.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that the purchasing system (Adaco) is updated regularly with agreed changes to suppliers, products and pricing
- Ensure restaurants, and Beverage teams in particular, are informed of supplier prices and agreements
- Guarantee accuracy in all supplier pricing templates and agreements.
- Research new products and potential suppliers to enhance our offering.
- Monitor supplier performance via agreed KPIs, Communicate delays or problems with suppliers to the relevant teams.
- Manage the departmental reporting function e.g. monthly sales mix reporting, monthly spend reports, category performance reports. Conduct competitor analysis to inform purchasing decisions and strategies.
- Administer monthly and quarterly departmental income schedules
- Departmental first point of contact for restaurants for queries regarding information in Adaco.
- First point of contact for the Finance team for queries regarding supplier retrospective payments
- Provide support for new restaurant openings by updating budgets, raising orders, and tracking deliveries to ensure all items are received on time and in full (OTIF).
- Organize and manage monthly Purchasing team meetings and provide general support to the Purchasing Director, including meeting coordination and expense processing.

**Key Requirements**:

- Highly organized and diligent, with strong attention to detail.
- Effective time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with experience working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and support multiple initiatives.
- Strong working knowledge and experience of Microsoft Excel.
- Prior experience working within a supply chain or purchasing team is desirable.
- Experience and familiarity with purchasing systems and the ability to manage supplier information and pricing.
- WSET Level 2 in Wines or any other similar wine qualification is desirable
