Reporting to the Head of Commercial, the Senior Commercial Modeller will actively lead the commercial modelling workstream to support our sales objectives and business plan.

We have a wide ranging and expanding pipeline with typical projects ranging from £10-£50m capital cost. You will create and own the financial and commercial models to identify competitive advantage opportunities, deliver value engineering and ultimately ensure bids are competitive, our investments are cognisant of the risks and opportunities as well as assessing the impact on the business's short and long-term earnings forecasts.

The key responsibilities within this role will be;
- You will work alongside the Project Development, Asset, Engineering, Legal and Finance teams to support the optimisation of the technoeconomic solution ensuring that income and costs associated with our propositions and future investments are correctly identified.
- You will be responsible for creating, developing and running investment models accurately and working with the Heat Networks Project Development Team to support preparation of bid documents and commercial agreements, and Corporate Finance to ensure the investment models are approved.

**What do I need?**

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Excellent understanding of modelling energy infrastructure project revenue streams, costs, risks and opportunities.
- A knowledge of Plexos would be advantageous but not essential.
- Clear understanding of accounting principles (e.g. P&L/cash-flow/BS build-up; depreciation/tax calcs).
- Modelling scenario building and model review experience.
- Exposure to project finance/debt raising processes would be a plus.
- Supporting project development teams running multiple scenarios/sensitivities on behalf of clients.
- Experience of JV agreements and associated models would be a plus.
