We are currently recruiting a Senior Purchase/Sales Ledger Clerk to be based at our Head Office in Blackburn on a full-time, permanent basis.
**Who are we looking for?**
Are you an experienced purchase/sales ledger clerk looking for your next move? This could be the role just for you
Reporting to the Transaction Services Manager and acting as a ‘number 2’, you will assist with the day-to-day running of the department, supporting a small team of Purchase/Sales Ledger Clerks.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their career and move into a finance role in the future. We have supported numerous employees with their AAT qualifications who have then gone onto Financial Accountant/Management Accountant roles within the company and been supported further with their ACCA and/or CIMA qualifications.

**The role of a Senior Purchase/Sales Ledger Clerk at BBF**
Purchase Ledger:

- Reconciling purchase orders to delivery notes and invoices
- Processing high volumes of supplier invoices
- Investigating and proactively resolving Supplier Queries
- Reconciling suppliers’ statements
- Preparation and processing of Weekly & month-end payments
- Maintaining the purchase ledger to a high standard
- Bank Reconciliations
- General ad-hoc duties within the office
- Inter-Company Reconciliations

Sales Ledger:

- Invoicing deliveries in an accurate and timely manner
- Updating cash Ledger
- Posting and allocating Customer payments
- Logging high volumes of Customer queries onto the Query Log; allocating to the relevant Bakery
- Reconcile Customer Accounts
- Processing Credit Notes and allocating to relevant deduction
- Assisting with External Audits
- Assisting with the preparation of month-end accounts
