**Job Summary**
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents in a care home setting. Your primary responsibility will be to support the daily living needs of elderly individuals, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. You will work closely with other staff members to implement care plans and provide compassionate support tailored to each resident's unique requirements.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support residents in maintaining their daily routines and activities.
- Implement and monitor care plans, ensuring they are followed accurately.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals regarding care needs and progress.
- Supervise junior staff members and provide leadership within the team.
- Maintain accurate records of resident care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
- Drive residents to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transport.
- Participate in training sessions and continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in senior care.

**Skills**
- Strong understanding of senior care practices and principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents and team members.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to supervise and motivate others.
- Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining records and documentation related to resident care.
- Ability to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Compassionate approach towards elderly individuals, demonstrating patience and empathy.
- Valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents as required.

Pay: £11.44-£11.79 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
