**Role and responsibilities**:

- implementing learning activities - working with individual or small groups of pupils.
- assisting the development of skills that support pupils' learning.
- producing and setting up learning resources.
- assist in pupil supervision when supporting learning.
- monitoring and recording of pupil progress and developmental needs.
- reporting pupil progress to the teacher.
