We’re looking for a **Transport Shift Manager** to join us on a full-time, permanent basis at our Waitrose site in Brinklow, Milton Keynes. You’ll work on the night shift, 10pm to 6am, any 5 nights out of 7. Some flexibility is required as thisis a 24/7 site.

**Pay, benefits and more**:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £43,286.16 (inclusive of NSA) per annum. In addition, we offer 33 days annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays, as well as the option to buy additional days. **What you’ll do on a typical day**:

- Make tactical decisions and solve operational problems to effectively ensure the execution of the daily transport plan
- Daily management of drivers, agency staff and sub-contractors on shift including managing people performance for sickness, absence, time keeping, and disciplinary/grievance investigations
- Carry out day-to-day driver planning with a focus on resource optimisation and operational compliance
- Direct and guide your team to meet operational objectives, such as service provision, productivity, and compliance KPIs

**What you need to succeed at GXO**:

- A proven track record at management level within a complex, fast-paced transport function (preferably within a 3PL with exposure to retail grocery logistics)
- A hands-on approach to your work - you’ll be getting stuck into all aspects of the transport operation
- Transport Manager CPC (this isn’t a must, but would definitely be an advantage) and experience of Tachomaster and telematics
- Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and knowledge of Transport Management Systems
