**Linen Porter - London**

**Job Purpose**

To ensure linen is delivered and collected promptly, safely and efficiently throughout the hotel.
- Please notes the list below is not an exhaustive list and your role will be flexible and will vary accordingly as dictated by the needs of the business and the requirements of the individual customers. As all employees are required to cover shifts in different hotels, please also note that duties may vary depending on the hotel._

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Assist and support the housekeeping department with linen, ensuring all products are delivered promptly and safely,
- To clean departure and stayover rooms as required,
- To assist with changing the water in the Jacuzzi rooms in the absence of Maintenance,
- To clean the public areas on a regular basis,
- To distribute the linen to various floors / rooms as needed,
- Collecting linen and organizing it for collection,
- Ensure porters store is kept locked, equipment stored correctly, and cupboards kept clean and tidy as well as fully stocked
- To be fully aware of and strictly adhere to Health and Safety, fire and security procedures.
- Deal effectively with all queries relating to your shift as required.
- Participate with training and coaching of team members as required,
- Attend training when required,
- To record and report all faults and damage arising to maintenance and management,
- To record, report and process lost property according to hotel procedures,
- Undertake any other business or ad-hoc duties relevant to the post, as and when
- required.
- To assist the Hotel Manager with the assignment of special tasks/ spring cleaning for the housekeeping attendants.
- To ensure that all room amenities such as bed throws, hangers, iron and iron boards are in an immaculate condition. Any shortages/ replacement requirements need to be reported to the Hotel Manager immediately.
- Assist the Hotel Manager when it comes to ordering linen and chemicals.
- Assist the Hotel Manager with the monthly stock take

Pay: From £13.50 per hour
