**Hours**: Full-time, over five days, including one weekend day.
**Pay**: £11.44 per hour, rising with service.

**Role Overview**

As a **Garden Centre Assistant (Indoor & Outdoor Lifestyle)**, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the high standards of our garden furniture, clothing, Christmas, and interiors departments. This varied role offers the chance to build product knowledge across multiple areas, contribute to the success of seasonal displays, and ensure customers have a fantastic shopping experience.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Specialist Department Activities**
- Develop a thorough knowledge of garden furniture, BBQs, clothing, Christmas, and interior products.
- Communicate effectively with customers to provide product information and recommendations.
- Assist in setting up and dismantling the Christmas department and supporting all related activities.

**General Garden Centre Duties**
- Deliver outstanding customer service with a friendly, positive attitude.
- Ensure stock is correctly priced, attractively displayed, and rotated regularly.
- Receive deliveries, check stock against delivery notes, and process discrepancies.
- Promote Gordale’s loyalty card to enhance the customer experience.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of your work area, ensuring it is safe and welcoming.
- Handle goods carefully to reduce breakages and minimise packaging costs.
- Complete daily checklists and report any issues to management promptly.
- Stay vigilant for shoplifting and alert managers to any concerns.
- Support linked sales by offering advice to customers on complementary products.
- Communicate ideas to your manager that could improve sales or customer service.

**Working Hours**

This is a full-time role over five days, including one weekend day. Additional hours may be available during peak periods.
