**Ramp Agent (Part-Time)**

**Location**:
London Gatwick Airport (LGW)

**Hours**:
Part-time - approximately **20 hours per week**

**Shift Pattern**:

- Early shifts: 07:00-12:00
- Late shifts: 17:00-22:00
- Weekend availability required (mix of AM and PM shifts)
- Rotational roster pattern

**Job Summary**:
This role is a seasonal role, helping with winter peak. As a Ramp Agent at Gatwick Airport, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely turnaround of aircraft on the ground. You’ll work as part of a team to ensure baggage, cargo, and ground service equipment are handled correctly, maintaining the highest levels of safety and on-time performance.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Marshal aircraft on and off stands following standard operating procedures
- Load, unload, and transport baggage, cargo, and mail between aircraft and the terminal
- Operate a range of ground service equipment (tugs, belt loaders, GPU, etc.) safely and efficiently
- Conduct aircraft pushbacks under supervision and following communication protocols
- Ensure all turnaround activities are completed within scheduled timeframes
- Follow all airport, airline, and safety regulations at all times
- Report equipment faults or safety hazards promptly to supervision
- Deliver excellent teamwork and communication with dispatchers, supervisors, and fellow ramp staff

**Requirements**:

- Must be **18 years or older**:

- **Right to work in the UK**:

- **Physically fit** - capable of manual handling, lifting up to 32kg, and working in all weather conditions
- **Flexible** to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Excellent teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail
- Strong focus on safety and operational efficiency

**Desirable**:

- Previous experience working airside or in a manual/warehouse environment

Please note, this is a seasonal role helping with Gatwick's peak - the contract will run from Mid November to Late December/ Early January.

Pay: £15.43 per hour
