**Planning Officer - Development Management**

**Planning Officer - Planning Policy**
As a Planning Officer within our Planning Policy team you will play a key part in producing a new district wide local plan. You will undertake research and assessment to inform policy production, evaluate information, prepare planning policy documents and be actively involved in public engagement and consultation so a good understanding of current and evolving planning policy matters and plan making will be essential.

**About you**
For both posts, you’ll need a degree in Planning (or equivalent qualification) and ideally be eligible for or working towards membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute. You should have a good knowledge of the planning system, excellent organisational and time management skills, and attention to detail. Good written and verbal communication skills to enable you to negotiate and influence with tact and diplomacy and an analytical and objective approach. You’ll also need a driving licence and be able to travel as required (reasonable adjustments may be possible according to the Equality Act).
