Despatch Operative 7am till 4pm Monday to Friday

Rate £11.25 overtime paid at time and a half.

Riverways Foods are currently looking for a Despatch Operative to join our busy team.

You will be be responsible for the picking, storing and despatch of finished product to the customer and ensuring products are stored and picked efficiently and in accordance to customer order requirements

**Duties**:

- Assemble and check orders for dispatch to customers in a timely manner
- Ensure Products are picked and packed in-accordance with current Standard Operating Procedures
- Receive and store stock generated by other departments
- Accurately record data relating to vehicle temperatures and hygiene
- Ensure the storage of stock is in compliance to stock rotation ie Use By dates
- Ensure stock is segregated in the appropriate designated storage where applicable for products containing allergens
- Report any damage to equipment or to the area working in to management or supervisors
- Report any Health and Safety hazards within the area, and comply to health and Safety rules at all times
- To have a flexible approach to work in order to meet changing business requirements
- Compliance to company policies, practices and standard operating procedures

**Personal Skills Required**:

- FLT licence desired (full training will be given)
- A good level of written and spoken English
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Flexibility and adaptability
- To have a positive work attitude
- An ability to understand written / verbal work instructions, policies and procedures
