'block_field--wide-rich-text': 'block_field--edit'}"> html: $component.getFieldValue($data)"> We are seeking to appoint a Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join our expanding, highly regarded and collaborative team. We are flexible on the location of this role across the UK. Reporting to the Lead Counsel, you will focus, but not exclusively, on our insurance intermediation businesses. Doing this by working in a team managing legal risk to Gallagher in connection with various types of commercial contracts. You will also provide legal counsel and advice to a broad range of internal clients, prepare and review contracts/actively managing a varied contracts portfolio and, where required, act as legal representative on change/transformational projects (broadlyregulatory/legal change programmes). **Your role**: - Act as Legal lead on material (commercial and regulatory) arrangements, proactively aligning legal review and risk management with the objectives of the relevant business owner - Where required, participate on business change/integration projects, influencing and advising on contract change requirements - Act as a legal intermediary between the business and external counsel - Instruct, direct and manage appropriate engagement and budgeting for external counsel when necessary - Draft documents, letters and contracts (including templates) tailored to the individual needs of the issue - Effectively manage high volume/wide breadth of contract matters - Advise the business on the law and legal issues, working with all levels of business individual (including the senior management team) - Correspond with opposing solicitors - Attend meetings and negotiations with opposing parties - Provide legal training to business colleagues, trainees, paralegals and non-lawyers - Provide accurate and practical advice reflecting English/Scottish law, but also guidance on matters involving other legal systems - Supervise and delegate work to trainee solicitors, paralegals and legal secretaries as appropriate - Ensure material legal issues are progressed with all relevant internal stakeholders and finalise all required documentation in a timely manner **Skills & Experience**: class:( $data.displayType === 'InputTextArea') ?
