Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be partnering with this well-known accountancy firm with fantastic modern offices situated conveniently on the outskirts of Luton/Hitchin that are currently recruiting for an Accounts Semi-Senior/Trainee Accountantto complement the existing team.
Role Requirements
- Draft accounts preparation for client types up to and including larger sole traders, partnerships and limited companies for senior or manager review
Import draft figures to IRIS accounts production from the working papers and produce draft accounts for the file
Assist trainees and junior team members with preparing any finalised pack, reviewing all documents for completeness and accuracy before passing up to the senior.
Where applicable, carry out audit duties to include, Stock take auditing unassisted, attending planning meetings, taking responsibility for audit field work on clients' premises, assisting in the completion section of less complex audit files, and passing auditfile upwards for manager review
Tax related duties to include personal tax data entry onto IRIS, finalising tax return packs in electronic format for upward review.
Entering basic data on to Iris P11d, dealing directly with the client to obtain missing information or clarify matters
Creating the draft reports from Iris P11d in electronic format for senior/manager review and finalising the P11d pack in electronic format
Create the draft corporation Tax Computations in electronic format for upward review, assisting junior team members with finalising the Company Tax Return in electronic format
Assist with other tax issues as the arise including (but not exclusively) ATED, CGT, IHT, HMRC tax enquiries.
Person Requirements
- You will have at least 2 years experience in a similar accounts semi-senior/trainee accountant role, ideally with some exposure to audit, working for a locally based firm.
At the early stages of studying towards the ACA qualification
Proficient in the use of various accounting software such as Iris, Quickbooks, Sage 50, XERO, Virtual Cabinet
