Seamark plc is a family owned internationally renowned supplier of frozen seafood to the food service industry throughout the UK and Europe.
You will be based at Seamark’s head office in Manchester.
**The Role**
This position requires complete discretion and confidentiality at all times.
The job holder will be required to provide full administrative/organisational support to senior management within the group of companies.
**Duties - HR**
- Manage/Assist in recruitment processes, including posting job advertisements and scheduling/conducting interviews
- Creating, updating, and maintaining individual personal HR files
- Handle confidential information with discretion
- Processing new starter documentation and ensuring contracts of employment and job offer letters are distributed
- Induction for new starters and compiling new starter Induction Packs
- RTW checks
- Taking minutes of meetings as required including: - disciplinary and appeal hearings, grievance meetings, sickness reviews and back-to-work interviews.
- Processing letters, outcome of meetings etc.
- Responsible for updating ‘Timeware system’
- Assisting with employee liability claims and accident investigations, obtaining correct documentation, and reporting incidents to the Insurance Company and RIDDOR as necessary.
- Updating and maintaining petty cash float and associated records
**Duties - Payroll**
- Processing 4-weekly payrolls / cross-checking/inputting hours onto Iris software.
- Updating and submitting the payroll using online banking and checking BACS reports.
- Resolving payroll queries in a timely fashion
- Sending and managing Attachment of Earning Orders as appropriate
- Maintaining sick absence reporting for payroll recording
**Skills and Qualifications Required**
- Hold a recognised Human Resources qualification OR have the equivalent experience
- Ability to communicate clearly and tactfully, verbally and in writing
- Able to maintain positive relationships with all
- Ability to prioritise effectively, meet deadlines and accept challenges
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Keen Eye for details
- Good communication skills
- Able to produce accurate adverts and job descriptions for new positions
This is a full time role but we would be open to someone working part time.
