**INTERNAL SALES AGENT JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Internal Sales Agent duties and responsibilities**

The main daily duties will include:
- Entering purchase orders onto Sage 50
- Checking prices and quantities on POs are correct and requesting amendments if not
- Sending order confirmations
- Sending pro-forma & VAT invoices
- Dispatching orders and producing delivery notes for drivers
- Pricing new enquires that come into the business
- Creating works orders for the factory to produce material
- Booking jobs with Hauliers for dispatch
- Consolidating postcodes for dispatch
- Keep all spreadsheet files up to date
- Creating and printing labels for Factory & Hauliers

**What does an Internal Sales Agent do?**

The Internal sales agent will be responsible for all the new sales that come into the business through existing customers, there will not be any pressure to produce new sales, or any cold calling involved just developing exiting accounts and servicing them.

**Internal Sales Agent skills and qualifications**

The Internal Sales Agent will need a range of skills and qualifications to perform their duties effectively. These skills and qualifications include:
- Thorough attention to detail
- Customer service skills
- Organisation and time management skills
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- Familiarity with warehouse order systems such as SAGE 50
- Ability to work well with suppliers, customers, and other team members
- Active listening skills
- A good level of Maths & English (Grade C or above)
- Interpersonal skills
