Outpatient Receptionist

The Outpatients team are on the lookout for 2 receptionists to join their dynamic team in an exciting and busy role. This is a great opportunity for those interested in an entry-level administration role; you will need to be highly motivated, dedicated and passionate about delivering patient-focused customer service, and in return you will be supported in your personal and professional development.
There is one full-time and one part-time position available.
You will be the first point of contact for patients and families visiting the Outpatients department. You'll be responsible for booking them into the outpatient clinic, as well as managing all relevant administrative tasks which will support patients through their journey in Outpatients.
Previous administrative or customer service experience is desirable, but not essential. You will however need to be computer-literate and have experience using Microsoft Office packages.

You will primarily be meeting and greeting patients in person, but will also be in contact with them via telephone and online messaging, so a customer service-focused approach is paramount.
There are administrative functions that need daily completion at the end of clinics. including the booking of follow-up appointments and arranging all related communication. There are opportunities to work across all Trust sites, including Herts & Essex Hospital in Bishops Stortford and St Margaret's Hospital in Epping. No two days will be the same and our patient groups cover both adults and children.
