Trafford Libraries have recently been restructured into two areas and new roles have been developed for staff.

**About you**

**About the Role**

As a Library and Digital Advisor, you will be working as part of a busy team delivering services across a number of Libraries in the borough. The core role of the library service is to promote the use of reading and books. This will include children’s activities, reading groups and a variety of clubs and events.

You will be digitally aware and assist customers with requests for information and provide digital learning and support. You’ll be responsible for promoting and contributing to all of our online services and activities.

Additional Information

Trafford libraries is structured into two areas. The North Area comprises Limelight (Old Trafford), Partington, Stretford Urmston and Woodsend Libraries.

The South Area comprises, Altrincham, Coppice, Hale,Sale and Timperley, Libraries.

Flexibility will be required to work across all open hours which are 10.00am to 7.00pm Monday to Friday and 10.00am to 4pm on Saturday.

In particular a positive approach to your duties is required as well as the ability to change locations and hours often at short notice.

Trafford Libraries are a dynamic and fast moving environment and we need staff to both embrace and contribute to that.

In addition there will be occasions where work is required outside of these hours.
