Demonstrating a creative and enthusiastic approach, the role is to maintain quality standards by inspecting and approving incoming materials, in-process production and finished products. The Quality Inspector will record the results of their inspections and prepare test reports. When they find defects, inspectors notify Supervisors and Managers and help to analyse and correct the production problems.

The ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team is integral to the position whilst demonstrating capacity to develop.
- Respond to quality related issues within the production department (internal, supplier, customer, etc)
- Perform audits of processes and products: Inspect, test, & measure materials or products being produced
- Record and report inspection/test data in prescribed manner.
- Identify areas of concern in both materials and the production process and make recommendations to address concerns raised.
- Ability to read basic drawings
- Calibration of small hand-held measuring tools
- Represent the Quality Department in production workshops
- Perform related duties as directed by Line Manager and work collaboratively on improvements that help to optimise efficiencies within quality and production department’s
- Communicate widely and efficiently with colleagues and other stakeholders, to achieve an effective work-flow across departments
**Required**:
Effective Communication - verbal and written.

Be able to collate, analyse, interpret and present information.

Identify and act upon areas of improvement for self, others and business.

Computer Literate inclusive of Microsoft Office suite.

**Preferred**:
Formal certification in Quality Management or verifiable industry experience.

Experience in deploying quantitative analysis.
