As ED&I Officer you will report to the Organisational Development Lead, collaborating across the business, including with our employee networks and Senior Leadership team, to drive a step-change in our approach to ED&I.
The Planning Inspectorate has a long and proud history in ensuring a fair planning system for England. The work we do has a significant impact on people’s lives, the communities where they live and the economy.
We want our colleagues to be able to work more flexibly and more collaboratively, exploring new and innovative ways to improve the way we provide services.

You'll collaborate and influence at all levels across the organisation to shape and champion our ED&I vision. This role is not about box-ticking or optics. It's about effecting real change that will have a lasting impact on our people, our customers, our communities and the wider planning sector.
The role will involve the development, monitoring and review of our ED&I strategy and associated actions, designed to ensure The Planning Inspectorate staff and stakeholders engage with ED&I legislation.
Relevant experience in Equality Diversity and Inclusion will be required for this role. Experience gained within local government, voluntary, faith and community sectors, or large organisations (public or private) would be acceptable.
