**In 2020 LCP launched our Heath Analytics practice, providing analytical and research services for organisations across the life sciences and healthcare industries. Our team brings together clinicians, statisticians, epidemiologists, health economists, bioinformaticians and health data scientists alongside our established actuarial, analytics and technology teams to deliver new solutions to the fundamental challenges in health.**

Our team’s mission is to help move health systems from importers of illness to exporters of health and to support our clients to deliver value to patients. We have already developed a track record for leading approaches to real world evidence generation, health economic modelling, evidence strategy, medical affairs and genetics.

We have been growing the team quickly in response to the demand we are seeing for the service offerings we have developed and now have an exciting opportunity for a Statistician, with a focus on Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) projects, to join our team of experts and strengthen our capabilities in this area.

**Who are the team?**

LCP’s Health Analytics team works across the healthcare and life sciences markets, combining health expertise with innovative approaches from our work in other sectors to tackle leading health issues. Examples of the types of projects that we undertake for our clients include:

- Analysis of clinical trial data for use in health economic modelling
- Evidence synthesis projects including indirect treatment comparisons
- Advanced study designs including external comparator arms and quantitative bias analysis
- Real world evidence studies using electronic healthcare records, registries, biobanks and databases
- Innovative approaches to identifying and quantifying unmet need and inequalities
- Manuscript writing

**What will you be doing?**

As an Associate Consultant you will be involved in a diverse range of projects, covering both client and non-client work. Your key responsibilities will be to:

- Demonstrate expertise in statistical methods
- Contribute to various stages of projects including:

- Proposal development
- Protocol development
- Execution of statistical analyses
- Quality control
- Report writing
- Support the development of other team members, including:

- Contributing to team training
- Contributing to the development of internal resources, tools and processes
- Contribute to developing innovative technology and advanced methods capabilities in this space (e.g. machine learning, quantitative bias analysis, Bayesian methods)
- Demonstrate and develop your expertise by contributing to thought leadership activities

**What experience, skills and qualities are we looking for?**
- or statistics-related Masters degree or PhD is desirable
- Demonstrable experience in a statistical role, with consultancy experience preferable
- An excellent grounding in relevant methods and analytical best practice with demonstrated experience in conceptualising and delivering previous studies and projects
- Experience in methods for indirect comparison or external comparator arms (e.g. NMA, MAIC and similar methods) is desirable
- Experience of analysing patient-level data from clinical trials and using survival analysis methods is desirable
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills and be highly competent in the use of Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Programming experience in R or Python is highly desirable
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and creativity in your work
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
