To assist in the smooth running of both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Bars, producing high-quality food and beverages while being polite, courteous and helpful to customers and team members.

Duties and responsibilities:
1. **Front of House Services**
- To ensure all foods and beverages are labelled, stored and handled per college and legislative requirements.
- To assist in the smooth running of the student bars, maintaining service standards, presentation and cleanliness of the areas.
- To ensure all food and beverage preparations are produced in line with the tariff and to the standards directed by the Bar Manager.
- To ensure that sufficient production is available throughout service.
- To ensure services are provided on time as per the schedule of services
- Ensure all areas are kept clean and tidy including storerooms and cupboards.
- Assist in keeping all College equipment well maintained and stored correctly: coffee machine, panini toaster, bar blender, milkshake machine, Laptop etc.
- To assist on the counter during service time; encourage and participate in actively selling the product range.
- Ensure high levels of service are delivered throughout all Catering outlets.

2. **Team Contribution and Development**
- To assist in stock control and general bar management.
- To be flexible in covering in case of absences.
- To be polite, courteous and helpful to team members.

3. **Customer Relations**
- To be polite, courteous and helpful to all customers.
- To recognise the key customers.
- To liaise with colleagues in the Bar Manager/Bar supervisor’s absence as required

4. **Health and Safety**
- All staff must adopt a responsible and proactive attitude towards health and safety and to comply with any procedures as required by the College in order to ensure the health and safety of themselves, their colleagues and any other persons that may be affected by their actions. They must be prepared to undertake any training provided in relation to health and safety or which is identified as necessary in relation to their work.

Pay: £12.05 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 25 per week
