The Supply Room is looking for a motivated Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant Primary School in Blandford Forum, Dorset.
This permanent position involves working with students aged 4-11, providing crucial support to a student with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) on a 1-1 basis.
This role will last until the end of the academic school year.
As a Teaching Assistant within this Primary School, you will play a pivotal role in the academic and personal development of a student with SEND. Responsibilities include implementing tailored learning plans, providing individualized support, and creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
This role offers a competitive pay rate of £85 - £90 per day and a 16-week temporary-to-permanent contract from day 1.
Working hours are Monday to Friday (8.30am - 3.30pm) with an immediate start date, allowing you to make a positive impact from day one.

- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher
- Support students during transitions between activities and locations
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment
**Requirements**:
- Experience working with children, preferably in a special education setting
- Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and strategies for working with individuals on the spectrum
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with students on an individual level
- Ability to follow instructions from the lead teacher and work collaboratively as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability in responding to the needs of students
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or certifications in early childhood education or special education is a plus)
- Background check clearance
We offer competitive pay based on experience.
