Engagement Officer

We are looking to recruit someone with enthusiasm, energy and talent. You will be planning and delivering a range of activities that are high quality, helping to ensure the Trust's work is understood and extending the reach of our engagement with our staff to give more people the opportunity to influence local decision-making.
This is a crucial role ensuring our staff get the right information at the right time to ensure they're able to care for patients and look after each other.
You don’t need to have worked in the NHS before - but experience of working at the heart of a busy communications environment will be essential.
We are seeking an internal communication professional who will deliver innovative and highly-effective communications and engagement. You will put the 15,000 people who work at the trust across our numerous sites at the heart of everything you do and will be a passionate advocate and ambassador for the values of the Trust.
Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is now one of the largest in the country, with a workforce of approximately 15,000 who serve a population of 1.2 million people. We work together, and in conjunction with MSE Health and Care Partnership, to deliver excellent local and specialist services, to improve the health and wellbeing of our patients in a compassionate way, and provide a respectful, but vibrant place for staff to develop, innovate and build careers.

Specific responsibilities include the provision of communications support to specific work streams in:
- the delivery of the trust’s strategic action plans, values and organisational objectives
- the development of focused staff engagement activities
- increasing recognition of staff achievements.
You’ll also be a creative writer who can target different audiences, savvy with digital tools, confident in using multi-media tools including video, as well as organised and efficient.
