Hours: 21.75 hours per week

**Salary**: £24,849 - £26,529 (pro rata)

Location: Cheadle & Marple College

The Trafford College Group (TCG) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and qualified Counsellor to join the team and help support students with their emotional wellbeing whilst they are at college.

**The Job**:
The role is based within our learner services team, supporting pastoral mentors and other staff members to ensure the wellbeing of our students.

**About You**:
You should be qualified to at least Level 5 and registered with the BACP. You must have experience of working with young people aged 16-19, working within an FE setting is desirable. You will have sound knowledge of safeguarding and experience in managing risks
- escalating safeguarding issues where appropriate. The successful applicant will need to have the ability to manage their own complex caseload across multiple sites and also have had experience and robust training in working remotely with clients.

In addition, you must have knowledge of external services and experience in making referrals for young people, ensuring these are followed through. You will need to have knowledge and good practice of GDPR and have the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Applicants who do not have the required level 5 qualification but have relevant experience, may be considered.
