**About the role**

You will be part of a dynamic loyal Butchery team, where you will form an integral part of the whole Butchery operation. You are naturally respectful and able to demonstrate understanding that focusses on high standards of customer service. You will be focused on team participation and collaboration and can identify solutions when recognising potential problems. You will ensure that your communication is effective and timely whilst being polite and purposeful.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Order collation and boxing
- Traceability for Audits
- Supporting the construction of effective working rotas
- Booking in of deliveries from suppliers, accepting deliveries and placing orders
- Effective communication with customers and representatives of Pilgrim Foodservice using knowledge of meat selection.
- Assist Butchery Manager in pricing & submitting relevant documentation in a timely manner.
- Assist with stocktakes.
- Ensure specific H & S responsibilities are fulfilled in a timely and consistent manner.
- Maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external business associates
- Carry out route checks once all the orders are complete.
- Good attention to detail and high standards of accuracy; essential for good stock management
- Excellent Computer skills
- Resilience of working within a fast-paced environment which includes frozen, chilled and ambient goods
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills producing legible and accurate paperwork
